Baked Chicken Salad


For those of you who have never had this classic childhood dish, chicken salad can be very confusing. While it doesn’t have the same texture as most other salad types, the great taste definitely makes up for that. Chicken salad is one of my favorites because of the variety of choices that you have. If you are having a party, then chicken salad is the perfect answer to spruce up your meal. You can prepare it the day before and keep it well chilled until time to serve.

Chicken salad can be prepared in so many ways, with fresh vegetables or seasoned with chicken sauce, mayonnaise and crisp tossed salad greens. Chicken salad is also any sandwich with chicken as a primary ingredient. Other common ingredients can include crisp celery, onions, pepper, hard-boil eggs, cucumber, pickles and various types of chopped nuts. You can choose ground beef, veal, chicken breast, shrimp or turkey as your source of protein.

The key to enjoying a tasty chicken salad is making sure all the ingredients are in their place at the right time. Mix everything together well and serve with a nice bowl of potato salad. This makes it easy to eat and provides a satisfying bite to your palate. When you serve your salad, make sure everything is covered with at least some crusty bread crumbs to help soak up some of the delicious flavor.

To make the dressing for your chicken salad, start by preparing the tuna salad ingredients and add them to the large bowl along with the dressing. Stir well and let sit for a few minutes. Then, simply add the rest of the ingredients and stir to combine well. Then add the mayonnaise and mix thoroughly.

If you do not have a large bowl to use, try chopping up some smaller sized pieces of fruit. Just remember to keep the dressing in a separate plastic container away from the other items so that they don’t get mixed up. A good salad has an appealing look and a pleasant taste.
